flower blossoms

now cherry trees are blooming in japan and i was really looking forward to going to hanami (going to see flower blossoms). it's been 5 years since i went to hanami last time! and hanami is one of the things you don't want to miss in japan. this year finally had a chance to go to shinjuku gyoen to enjoy that with my friends but too many people in shinjuku gyoen! the news says they recorded the entrance of 82,000 ppl on the last sunday and it's crazy.

they say the population in tokyo is increasing year by year and i could realize that everywhere. so is it good thing that building many more entertainment districts like tokyo midtown and new marunouchi building then we can disperse the crowds? hmmm... maybe not. it's better to squeeze ppl out of tokyo but not any more in tokyo. so i'm not even object to the idea of relocation of the capital or at least relocation of each function like politics and business. in that sense, i wonder even if we need tokyo olympics. no more need of development.

but isn't it absurd that they ban drinking, playing music and playing sports in the park? then what are we supposed to do there? just keep walking for 5 hours? and they close too early.
